GIVE DETROIT ("GIVE DETROIT," "we," "us," or "our") operates an online platform that connects donors with nonprofit organizations and community campaigns across the Detroit area. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.

By using our website or services, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

We collect information in the following ways:

• Information you provide. Your name, email address, phone number, mailing address, and account details when you create an account, donate, register an organization, or contact us.
• Donation details. The amount, date, recipient organization or campaign, and any dedication or message you include. Payment card details are handled directly by our payment processor and are not stored on our servers.
• Organization information. Legal name, EIN, mission statements, banking details for payouts, and contact information for authorized representatives.
• Automatically collected data. IP address, browser type, device information, pages visited, and referring URLs collected through cookies and similar technologies.

We use the information we collect to:

• Process donations and deliver funds to the organizations you support.
• Issue donation receipts and confirmations for your records.
• Create and manage donor and organization accounts.
• Verify nonprofit organizations and help prevent fraud.
• Send service updates and, with your consent, news about campaigns and events.
• Improve, secure, and analyze the performance of our platform.
• Comply with legal, tax, and regulatory obligations.

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only in these circumstances:

• With organizations you support. Your name, email, and donation details may be shared with the recipient organization unless you choose to give anonymously.
• With service providers. Payment processors, hosting providers, email services, and analytics providers that help us operate the platform under confidentiality obligations.
• For legal reasons. When required by law, subpoena, or to protect the rights, safety, and property of GIVE DETROIT, our users, or the public.
• Business transfers. In connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to this policy.

We use cookies and similar technologies to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how visitors use our site. You can control cookies through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may limit certain features, such as staying signed in.

On our public pages we use Google Analytics to understand how visitors find and use the site, such as which pages are viewed and when a donation or sign-up is completed. Google Analytics uses cookies and receives information such as your IP address, device, and browser; it does not receive your name, email, or payment details. We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, including encryption in transit, to protect your information. Payments are processed by PCI-compliant providers. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We retain personal information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide services. Donation records may be kept longer to meet tax, accounting, and legal requirements.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:

• Access, correct, or update the personal information we hold about you.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data, subject to legal retention requirements.
• Opt out of marketing emails at any time using the unsubscribe link in any message.
• Give anonymously so your name is not shared with recipient organizations.

Our platform is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with information, please contact us and we will delete it.
